Polarizing Filter
If you are starting in photography one of the first thing I recommend you to buy, is a polarized filter. The polarize filter came in two type; the circular and the linear. I recommend the circular one because is more easy to use and you don’t need any special adapter like the linear filter.
With the polarizing filter you can do many thing, you can:
- evenly increase color saturation of all colors (except black and white), creating deep, rich scenic.
- Add contrast for dramatic.
- Eliminate glare from highly reflected surfaces like glass and water.
- Add more reflection to any reflective surface like the car’s paint.
In this picture I use the polarizing filter to eliminate the reflection of the water to see the rock on the bottom.
